The highly acclaimed Season 2 of Fragrance of the First Flower began filming on June 10 after 6 months of preparation. The new season is directed by Wang Yi-ling(王逸鈴), who won the Golden Bell Award for Best Miniseries or Television Film by her short film Do Not Go Gentle in Taipei. The show still features the beloved female couple leads, ZaiZai Lin(林辰唏) and Lyan Cheng(程予希), as well as Li Yi(李易) and Hung Chun-han(洪君瀚), who play the father and son duo in the series. The cast newly joining Season 2 include Jozie Lu(路嘉欣), Yilan Chao(趙逸嵐), and Li Ke-ching(李可晴), who are officially announced to be in the show for the first time.

Yi-min ended her marriage with Ren-xiu(Li Yi) and returned to her career, while Tingting reconnected with her college band and met Xiao-ning (Li Ke-ching), a music lover who bravely pursues love. This 15-year-delayed romance is about to face its challenges!
Fragrance of the First Flower Season 1 conquered the world, being selected for 16 film festivals including Series Mania, Tokyo International Film Festival, TV SERIES FESTIVAL, and Frameline: San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival. It won three major awards at the 57th Golden Bell Awards, including Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Miniseries or Television Film. Season 2 is expected to wrap up in August and will be available for streaming on GagaOOLala, the world's largest LGBTQ+ video platform, in Spring 2024.
